The new 2019 Jeep® Renegade made its official debut at the Torino Motor Show in Europe. The compact crossover boasted new styling and powertrains. Although the Jeep® Renegade that strutted its stuff at the auto show was designed for Europe, it’s likely we’ll see a similar model in North America in late June.
The off-roading marque showed off the revised Renegade’s styling. The front fascia and seven-slot grille received an updated look. The headlights look similar to those on the JL Wrangler, while the fog lights moved closer to the vehicle’s center.
We haven’t gotten a glimpse of the Renegade’s interior just yet, but we do know the infotainment screen grows a little larger. The center console received a refresh too.
European drivers will see several engine options under the hood. A new 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 120 hp will be the base option. A 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine will offer either 150 hp or 180 hp depending on the driver’s choice. Diesel and hybrid powertrain specs have yet to be revealed.
Jeep® is expected to unveil more details about the 2019 Renegade towards the end of June. The North American model is expected to resemble the model we saw unveiled at the Torino Motor Show. From what we can see, the Jeep® Renegade’s mid-cycle refresh looks like it will be a huge success!
