Car and Driver’s 10Best list has been around for 36 years, but the magazine branched out last year to a more specific list: the 10Best Trucks and SUVs list. The award-winning Chrysler Pacifica minivan earned a spot on that list last year in the Van category.
Just as the list enters its second year, the Pacifica has also entered its second year ranked on that list. The Car and Driver judges select winners based on three factors: how much value the truck or SUV offers, how well it fulfills its own mission, how much engagement it offers its drivers.
It is no surprise then that the Chrysler Pacifica has dominated two years in a row. The new minivan boasts an exciting drive in both the gas-powered and hybrid models, and with over 100 available safety features, the Pacifica takes the minivan mission of protecting families very seriously. On top of that, the Chrysler Pacifica boasts features like the Uconnect Theater rear-seat entertainment system for the kids and a suite of comfort and convenience technologies for the adults.
Per Car and Driver: “In keeping with its mission, the Pacifica moves with aplomb, not overstarched vigor; its suspension is tuned for passenger comfort, while light and faithful steering makes navigating tight parking lots as effortless as knocking back a glass of Yoo-hoo. Even so, the Pacifica proves willing enough to dance down a twisty two-lane road… To all that, the Pacifica also adds an attractive exterior design, ergonomically friendly interior controls, and an infotainment system that’s perhaps the most intuitive and easy to use in all of autodom. It also returned 31 mpg on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy test, a boon for long family road trips. The Chrysler Pacifica is a refined tool that is now a two-time 10Best winner.”
