With trusted websites such as Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com and the many other reputable sources where you can find quality reviews and more, the process of buying a car takes place online more than ever before.
However, Fiat Chrysler is looking to raise that bar even further, flat-out selling their cars online at a discount with the help of online shopping superstar Amazon. The automaker recently announced their partnership with the company, starting with consumers in Italy.
In the European country, buyers will be able to purchase the 500, the Panda (Italy’s best-selling model), and the 500L on Amazon for a serious bargain. Fiat Chrysler has said that these online sales may be as much as 33% cheaper than in-person purchases.
The system is set up so that consumers can research their car at home, compare prices at home, and then even buy their new car from home, at Amazon’s website. Then, they can pick up the vehicle from a nearby dealership, already paid.
No word on when the Fiat Chrysler and Amazon partnership could be spread to the United States, but we think it’s safe to say that Fiat Chrysler will do just that, especially if the program is successful in Italy.
