Ram trucks are getting a new trim. The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel premiered at the Detroit Auto Show and it looked ready to roll. The all-new Rebel will find its place just above the Ram Outdoorsman.
The trim will compete with the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and Nissan Titan Pro-4X and leaves the GM Z71 and Ford FX4 packages in the dust. The Rebel is a collection of Ram’s best features and puts them all into a single half-ton pickup truck.
The crew cab Rebel comes with either a 5.7L Hemi V8 or a 2.6L Pentastar V6 (4×4 only). Both engines come with an eight speed ZF transmission. The front end sports a bulging hood and new molded grill. The front bumper has been reshaped and a skidplate protects part of the bumper and extends under the truck.
The truck rides a few inches higher than the rest of the Ram trims, giving the tires more room to move in the country. Made for adventure, the Ram 1500 Rebel is ready to hunt, fish, and camp at a moment’s notice and hits lots this June.
