Nissan Titan XD Debut Turns Pickup Segment on Head

Nissan is forging new roads this week after introducing the all-new Nissan Titan full-size truck to the world at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The Nissan Titan XD debut showcases the Japanese carmaker’s commitment to providing its consumers with a generation of pickup trucks that don’t compromise fuel economy for capability.

Project Titan - Nissan Titan XD Debut“The new Titan will deliver toughness, capability, and quality,” said Carlos Ghosn, Nissan President and Chief Executive Officer. “In addition to a range of cab configurations, the Titan lineup will ultimately encompass multiple powertrain choices. These include an all-new workhorse gasoline V8, as well as our first V6 offering in this class.”

Nissan’s new super truck uses a new 5.0-liter V8 turbo diesel. This powerful engine helps the truck achieve an available maximum towing capacity of more than 12,000 pounds, when properly equipped. The engine churns out 310 horsepower and an outstanding 555 lb-ft of torque, showing just how terrific this full-size pickup choice is.

The Nissan XD Titan will debut in dealer showrooms throughout the U.S. in late 2015. Until then, make sure you stop in to Rothrock Nissan to see what other pickup options our brand has to offer you!
