The 2013 Super Bowl wasn’t without controversy. Beyonce’s halftime show, holding calls – or non-calls, rather – , and of course the blackout are still being talked about three days later. One thing is certain – everyone has a favorite commercial and the ads from Jeep and Ram rank high on the lists.

“For the past two years, we have used the largest television viewing audience to highlight the pride, the resilience and the determination that form an integral part of the American character,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chairman and CEO, Chrysler Group LLC. “Both the Jeep and Ram Truck brand’s campaign videos express Chrysler Group’s commitment to America and to helping build a better future for this great country.”

Jeep’s two-minute advertisement called “Whole Again” paid tribute to the country military members. Through a heartfelt letter read by Oprah Winfrey, the American people expressed their respect and admiration for the service men and women and thanked them for protecting the country.

A commercial from Ram Trucks called “Farmer” honored those that live the farm life. The spot was inspired by legendary radio broadcaster Paul Harvey’s “So God Made a Farmer” tribute. Ram Trucks commissioned notable photographers to document American farm life and used the images throughout the commercials.

What do you think? Were the Jeep and Ram commercials on your list of favorites?
