Two years ago, the Jeep brand introduced a special edition Grand Cherokee at the Houston Auto Show. It featured a “blacked-out” exterior and was hugely popular. Jeep let its fans pick the name and “Altitude” came out on top.
On December 5, Jeep announced a multi-faceted marketing campaign in partnership with NBCUniversal. The campaign will feature on-air talent from shows across NBCUniversal’s network of channels, including Sarah Hyland from Modern Family, Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Terrence Jenkins from E! News on E!, and Baron Davis from How I Rock It. Each celebrity will “embark on their own personal adventures enabled by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee.”
The Chrysler Group simply dominated the awards at the Texas Auto Writers’ Association 21st Annual Texas Truck Rodeo, with Ram, Jeep, and Dodge vehicles winning 15 out of the 24 awards given out by TAWA. The Ram Trucks and Jeep SUVs won especially big; they prevailed in every single category in which they were entered. The Ram 1500 took home the “Truck of Texas” award for 2014—it was the Ram 1500’s second consecutive win.
