Chrysler Town & Country takes home Initial Quality honors
The most-awarded minivan just added another trophy to its case. The 2013 Chrysler Town & Country was determined the highest-ranking minivan in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2013 Initial Quality Study (IQS).
“The Chrysler Town & Country is the highest-ranking minivan in two of the three most recent initial quality reports,” said Doug Betts, Senior Vice President – Quality, Chrysler Group. “The team at Windsor Assembly Plant has really embraced World Class Manufacturing and recognizes that every employee has a role in improving the quality of our vehicles.”
For the IQS, over 83,000 owners of 2013 model-year vehicles were surveyed about vehicle issues after 90 days of ownership. They were asked to identify any defects or issues with the vehicle’s design. The study was redesigned for 2013 with a greater focus on new technologies and offered features as well as more detailed feedback from owners.
The 2013 Town & Country bet out the Honda Odyssey to win the Minivan category. It is loaded with standard features including a trailer sway damping system, leather seats, heated power-folding side mirrors, 17-inch aluminum wheels, automatic headlight, fog lamps, triple-zone climate control, rear DVD entertainment system, and touch-screen radio.
